EO2HEAVEN's Advisory Board workshop

EO2HEAVEN will hold their next technical and management committees' meetings together with the second Advisory Board (AB) workshop in Enschede (Netherlands) on the 22nd – 24th November.

During the AB workshop external experts on the environment and health domain will review the project results and will provide guidance to the development of use cases, aligning them with the current health and environment initiatives in Europe and other parts of the world.

INSPIRE Conference 2010

The theme of this year’s edition is "INSPIRE as a Framework for Cooperation". The plenary sessions will focus on applications and implementations of SDIs, research issues and new and evolving technologies and applications and poster presentations.

Topics for which contributions are sought include:

- INSPIRE Implementation: Legislative measures, coordination and organisational models

- INSPIRE and the global context: Global Monitoring for Environment and Security, Global Earth Observation System of Systems, United Nations SDI

- Thematic communities - Licensing frameworks

- GeoPortals and registries - Social and economic impacts

- Education and awareness raising

- Trans-national SDI projects (including EU (co-)funded projects)

Intergeo 2011

Intergeo is the largest Congress and Fair for Geodesy, Geo-Information, and Land use planning. Although the Intergeo is originally a German trade fair, a significant part of visitors came from all over Europe.

Third OGC Technical Committee Meeting - 2010

Quarterly OGC TC Meetings; participation in the technical committee meetings is essential for standardization work as well as the promotion of the project itself in the geospatial community.

Environment and Public Health in Modern Society (EPHmodern 2011)

Main focus of the high level "consultative" conference will be to bring together scientist and policymakers in the field of environment and health. Most actual scientific knowledge will be presented and adequate strategies will be discussed for a scientifically based and integrated environmental policy within the European region and its implemented within an EPH Platform Executive Structure.
